A Field Trip to 826 Boston

Some students were quite interested in Bigfoot. Others, a little scared.

They had lots of interesting things to look at and touch. Here is a box of dead butterflies.
826 Boston or, The Greater Boston Bigfoot Research Institute is a not-for-profit local writing center.  

Today our class visited both their research center (see bigfoot and butterfly pictures) as well as their writing center. 

Collectively our class wrote a story together with the superb help of their friendly and knowledgeable staff.

We gave the field trip an A+

In preparation for our Tall Tale Living Museum we began thinking about costume props today.

Tall Tale Museum Begins!

To conclude our tall tales unit we're planning a tall tale living museum.  

Our first order of business was to choose characters for our museum and then draw pictures to help plan our costumes.
