Kristin Keeper My name is Kristin Keeper, and I was born and raised in Ohio. I have been living and teaching in Boston for the last eight years. I began my teaching career at St. Matthew’s in Dorchester where I taught K1 for two years as part of the Urban Catholic Teaching Corps, a program through Boston College. This is my eighth year teaching at Neighborhood House Charter School. For my first two years at NHCS, I taught K1. Six years ago, I had the opportunity to teach first grade, and I discovered that first grade is a truly magical year filled with enormous amounts of learning and growing for young children. I love being a first grade teacher at NHCS, and I am delighted to begin a new school year.
Nikolas Franks My name is Nikolas Franks, and I am co-teaching first grade with Ms. Keeper. I was born in New Hampshire but grew up in the Virgin Islands. I received my Elementary Education degree from the University of Vermont before moving to Boston to work at the Lee Academy Pilot School. I am now in my fourth year at NHCS.
