Last week we had our Pajama Day Party!
We spent much of the day snuggling up with warm jammies, good books and better friends.
Notice our fireplace in the background, ooOoh.
We had a class full of stuffed animals as well. How fun it was to share these with the class.
It was a blast but we realized the need for closer monitoring when Jacob's stuffed animal slithered away and started eating Joshua's snack. Oh no, not the strawberries!
Over February break, Mr. Lind visited with Mr. Franks' family down in St. Croix, United States Virgin Islands.
Here we are checking out the Roseway Schooner which is stationed in STX through the winter, but resides in Boston for the summers. Our middle school students at NHCS make a yearly trip to visit the Roseway when it's in town.
After hours of preparation and a huge amount of support from our parents, the first grade's Tall Tale Living Museum was an enormous success.

All are welcome to attend this informational and celebrational ending to our end of unit Living Museum.
In preparation for our Tall Tale Living Museum we began thinking about costume props today.
Here a group of ladies think about what they'll need for their Sally-Ann-Thunder-Ann-Whirlwind-Crockett costumes.
To conclude our tall tales unit we're planning a tall tale living museum.
Our first order of business was to choose characters for our museum and then draw pictures to help plan our costumes.
Stay tuned for updates on the progress of our Tall Tale Living Museum.
The kids sang this at town meeting on Friday. We were very proud, to say the least.
